The New Zealand Study Tour is funded by the Gardiner Foundation. Run by the United Dairyfarmers of Victoria (UDV), it is a unique opportunity for young people in the dairy industry to develop knowledge and leadership skills. The tour travels annually to New Zealand, taking in a range of aspects of the industry such as farms, processing companies, research and extension facilities and farmer groups and networks.
The tour provides a great opportunity for those who attend to learn more about their chosen career and industry, developing networks and leadership skills along the way.
The tour is underpinned by the National Centre for Dairy Education (NCDE) nationally accredited unit at Certificate IV level, ‘Support and Review Business Structures and Relationships’, which participants complete during and after the tour.
The 2016 tour commences Monday the 1st of February and returns Monday the 8th.
