We began our journey bright and early this morning at 5am at Tullamarine airport. We flew to Auckland and picked up our minibus and supplies and headed to Hamilton, Waikato region. 25 percent of all New Zealand cows are located in the Waikato region and we certainly saw many farms and Fonterra plants along the way.
After an early start and a full day of travelling everyone was feeling weary but excited about the days to come. Tomorrow four farm visits in Pukeatua, Te awamutu, and Putaruru, and meeting with the Farmers Federation of New Zealand.
